OKC Family Photographer | Sloane’s One-Year Session
Over the course of the past year, I have had the honor of capturing Sloane’s newborn session, mid-year milestone session and finally her one-year session. It is so fun to be a part of this process, getting to watch and capture little ones as they grow. Sloane was particularly fun with her sweet personality and a face always full of bright smiles! It was also a pleasure getting to know her sweet family. Sloane’s big brother Hudson usually provides us with lots of entertainment during the sessions. One of my favorite moments of this session was when he was sitting on his dad’s shoulders and then opened up his mouth to have a look inside! Too funny!
For Sloane’s one-year session we got to use a vintage high chair. I have been collecting a few vintage high-chairs, buying them as I come across them in antique shops or yard sales, in hopes to use them for one-year cake smashes. I have four in my collection now. A natural wood one, a white one, a light blue one and a soft pink. I just finished painting the soft pink high chair prior to Sloane’s one-year session. I was thrilled when Sloane’s mom, Courtney, requested to use it! It turned out so cute! I love that the high chair adds a little extra charm to the session.
When the cake smash portion of the session came around and we put Sloane in the high chair with the cake in front of her, Sloane’s big brother Hudson politely asked, “where can I sit?” LoL. He decided he needed a place to eat cake too. Even though I didn’t have a seat for him, he made his way over to Sloane’s cake a few times to get a finger full of icing. Sloane didn’t mind one bit. 🙂
